Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) is a government strategic policy and expenditure framework which balances what is available in resources against policy priorities of the sector. It defines a 3-year rolling macro-economic framework which outlines overall resources available for the sector, and sets national expenditure priorities along the budget cycle. USAID HERO is supporting 10 counties to effectively track and assess performance in the budget making process in line with the Public Finance & Management Act of 2012. This dashboard is important as it shows at a glance where each county is along the budget cycle. The data presented will help key stakeholders and decision makers to institute corrective measures in the case of under performing components but also link key budget outcomes with the resulting processes.
